A few local news channels have reached out to Urban Wilderness and have done a fantastic job at highlighting our program’s mission.

WCPO discusses the importance of connecting youth with nature and how outdoor experiences positively impact them. Program Director, Trace Dunning, shares insights into his background and the source of his passion. Urban Wilderness staff, Silas Fulton, effectively explains the benefits of stepping away from technology.

Local Fox19 news channel covered a boatbuild at Delhi Middle School, located on the west side of Cincinnati. This segment features interviews with the teacher, principal, and students of Delhi Middle School to provide their perspectives on what Urban Wilderness brings to the classroom. Students express excitement for this team-bonding project. Field Trip Coordinator, Kyle Siebert, explains how students who may not necessarily excel in traditional classroom settings thrive in this hands-on environment.
